Meet the new Cycode: built to protect where AI risk is born

8 MIN

Some projects come together quickly. This one was a long time in the making, and it’s one of my favorites because we built it cross-functionally, in collaboration with our CEO, Lior Levy, our President & CRO, Seth Robbins, Amir Kazemi our head of PMM, and the one and only Isadora Werdesheim.

Today we’re introducing the new Cycode brand. Our name isn’t changing, in fact, we have the perfect name.

Yet, almost everything about how we show up to the world is changing: our logo, our colors, our fonts, our website, and the way we tell our story.

This isn’t just a new coat of paint. It’s how we show the world the company we’ve become.

Here is why we did it, starting with what changed in the world,at Cycode, then what the new brand means, and what it means for you.

Every era has a turning point

How we knew it was time to rebrand

The world changed, and so did we.

Let’s start with the world. We now live in a world driven by agentic development. For developers, AI now writes the code. And it doesn’t stop there. Every employee is now a developer: a citizen developer. Many of these new builders were never trained in security or software architecture, so they introduce risk by default, often without knowing it. The amount of code being written has grown by orders of magnitude, and the risk has grown right along with it.

Attackers changed too. They use the same frontier models we do, so the citizen developer has a twin: the citizen attacker. Anyone with AI can now become an attacker, no deep expertise or funding is required.

Attacks now run on their own, at machine speed. Simple exploits and low severity vulnerabilities get chained together into real paths to exploit. And the compensating controls built to stop them are losing ground.

The way we work has changed too. For as long as people have worked together, our colleagues were other humans. Now many of our colleagues are AI agents.

We’re all learning how to work alongside them. Whether you’re a developer or a citizen developer, the way you do your job has changed.

In this adjustment period, it’s easy to forget that first principles still apply to securing those agents. Adjusting to this new world takes time, and that creates a gap. That gap is where new risk is created.

Put it all together and risk is growing faster than anyone can fully measure: more vulnerabilities than ever, more patching to do, and attackers chaining weaknesses together into real paths to exploit.

“Cycode started in software supply chain security, and AI risk is an explosion of it, right where we started. The CISOs I meet at large enterprises, including our own customers, consistently tell me the same thing: their CEOs see AI as the biggest opportunity and the biggest risk. AI originates in the code, and now AI writes it. That’s why we protect where AI risk is born: the code.”

Seth RobbinsSeth Robbins, President & CRO, Cycode

Then there’s us. Cycode.

We changed just as much.

And the industry noticed. In 2026, Gartner named Cycode a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Software Supply Chain and further accolades in application security testing.

We quickly realized that to help security teams in this new AI era, we had to protect at the source, where AI risk is born: the code.

So we evolved our Cycode platform to do exactly that.

Over the last 18 months we shipped Cycode AI, ADLC Security, Maestro orchestration, Agentic Code Scanning, Agentic Workflows, Workstation Protection, and the Cycode MCP Server.

We had become a company built for the AI era. Yet our brand still looked like the one before.

What we believe

Before we touched a color or a logo, we agreed on what the brand had to say. Three beliefs shaped every decision.

Duality

We believe the AI era is defined by duality: opposing forces that have to work together. When humans live and work alongside agents, duality is what comes to mind first.

Once you see the pairs, you see them everywhere. Risk and security. Deterministic and non-deterministic. Human and agent. Developer and citizen developer.

That last pair matters most. Humans and agents now build software together. Agents bring speed; humans bring judgment and context. And the same AI that multiplies a developer multiplies an attacker. Security can’t pick one side of these pairs. It has to work across all of them.

Duality shows up in how we build Cycode, too. We work on both sides of AI:

  • Securing AI. Agentic development security: guardrails for agentic development from where code starts, the developer workstation, with ADLC Security.
  • Fighting AI with AI. Cycode AI puts AI to work for security teams, because you can’t fight AI-powered risk with an old playbook.

Illumination

We believe security’s job is illumination: shining a light on the risk that matters, so teams can act on it instead of drowning in signal to noise.

AI has made finding vulnerabilities easy. The hard part is knowing what to fix, especially now that attackers use AI to chain low and medium severity issues into high-risk attacks.

That’s where Cycode comes in. In a world where security teams can’t keep up with the vulnapocalypse, Cycode makes sure they’re focused on the right risk, whether it’s an attack chain, risk introduced through agentic development, or anything else across your software factory. Where the light lands, Cycode AI can act for you, with a human in the loop, so you stay in command.

Protect where AI risk is born

We believe that to secure AI, you have to do it at the source: the code. Code is the foundation of AI. And AI has made code cheap and easy to create, flooding the world with risky software from developers and citizen developers. Either way, AI risk is born in code, and that’s where Cycode protects it.

The new visual identity

The logo: with Cycode, you’re in command

The most recognizable part of our logo is the > symbol. Anyone who has opened a terminal, or typed into an AI coding agent, knows it. It marks the moment before you act: before you write the code, type the prompt, or give AI its next command. The moment you decide what happens next.

When agents write and ship code, that moment matters more than ever. With Cycode, you’re in command.

Our colors: calm and alert

Our colors: the full ramp, then cool and warm

We picked two colors, because security has two sides. It’s duality, in color.

Cycode blue is calm. It’s the steady, composed state every security team is working toward: you know what you have, you know where the risk is, and you know it’s handled. Blue is how Cycode should make you feel: secure.

Cycode orange is the opposite. It’s heat and urgency, the alert that pulls you out of your chair. Orange is how Cycode shows you the risk that matters.

We didn’t choose one over the other. Security has never been only calm or only alarm. It’s the constant movement between the two, and our brand holds both on purpose.

Put the two together, as they are on our homepage, and they look like a sunset: that moment toward the end of the day when everything settles into calm. Serenity.

What this means for you

We’ve been deliberate about what changes with this rebrand and what stays exactly as it is.

What’s not changing

Our name. We’re still Cycode and proud.

Our mission. Secure the software the world depends on.

What is changing, and why

How we look. New logo, colors, and fonts. Why: our old brand reflected the company we were. The new one reflects a company built for this moment.

We now lead with what we’ve become: the leader in Agentic Development Security.

Here’s what we shipped in the last 18 months as part of our agentic development security platform:

A word from Lior

“You can’t unlock AI without securing it. I wanted the world to immediately feel the power of who we are today through our brand: the duality, the illumination, and all the details that make Cycode who we are. We’ve changed as much as the world around us, and we’re putting you in command.”

Thank you to the team

A brand is only as good as the people who build it. A special thank you to Isadora and Dor, who led this work, and to Amir and Karina for their part in bringing it to life.

The road ahead

The look is new. The mission is the same, and it’s sharper than ever. This is the start, and you’ll see the new brand come to life across everything we do in the weeks ahead.
