Coding agents turn everyone into a developer. Are you keeping them secure?
An employee in finance just deployed an app that connects to your ERP and finds savings in every vendor contract. Is it secure? Citizen developers aren’t trained to spot malicious packages. They don’t know how to sanitize a user input, or make sure a container isn’t deployed as root. That doesn’t mean those risks don’t apply to them.

How Cycode empowers everyone to develop securely
Three steps take you from unknown AI builders and unmanaged codebases to protected devices and secure applications, without slowing anyone down.
-
Discover every builder
Find the citizen developers and the unmanaged codebases they create, across every team.
-
Protect every device
Protect the workstations where code gets made, and every AI interaction that happens on them.
-
Secure every application
Secure the applications and bring them under the same governance as everything else you ship.
Discover
See every builder,
every agent, and every app
Citizen developers don’t file tickets or open pull requests. Cycode finds them anyway, along with the agents they use and the apps they ship.
Protect
Guard the device
and every AI interaction
The workstation is where prompts, packages, files, and secrets meet. Guard it, and builders keep moving while risky actions stop at the source.
Secure
Bring citizen-built
apps under security control
Scan every citizen developed application and unmanaged codebase. Fix with AI. And turn every detection into a new prevention.
Free security assessment
Discover every builder. Protect every device. Secure every application.
Securing your citizen developers starts with assessing where you stand and knowing how to improve.

Questions security teams ask
Who counts as a citizen developer?
Anyone who builds software without being on an engineering team: the analyst who vibe-codes a reporting app, the marketer who wires an AI agent to the CRM, the HR partner who ships an onboarding bot. If a person creates code or an application that touches company data, Cycode counts them as a builder and brings their work into view.
Will this slow our business teams down?
No. Cycode discovers builders, devices and apps automatically, so nobody files a ticket or changes how they work. Guardrails act at the moment of risk (a secret in a prompt, a malicious package, an unapproved MCP server) and let everything else through. Fixes come back in plain language the builder can apply with their own coding agent.
How is this different from securing engineering?
Engineers work inside a pipeline you already govern: source control, CI/CD, code review. Citizen developers often work outside it, on their own laptops, with their own AI tools, and ship apps nobody registered. Cycode starts from the person and the device, maps what they build, and then applies the same policies and scanning your engineering code gets.
