Cycode won the Cybertech Startup Challenge held by YL Ventures at Cybertech Global after presenting our mission to help companies protect and govern their source code.

Cybertech Global Tel Aviv is the largest cyber event in the world, outside of the U.S. and it’s held at the start of the new year, every year. It’s a huge opportunity for B2B cyber companies to showcase their technology and ideas with the thousands of attendees from all over the world who flock to Tel-Aviv to find cutting-edge cyber solutions coming out of Israel. Attendees include C-level executives, investors, cyber experts, industry professionals, and government officials. Just this past September, Cycode announced our official launch as the industry’s first source code control, detection, and response solution. So this year’s Cybertech conference was extra exciting for us and there was an added twist.

Cybertech Startup Challenge

We entered the Cybertech Startup Competition, an annual event powered by YL Ventures, a powerhouse VC in the world of cybersecurity (full disclosure, YL invested in our seed round, but they definitely do NOT play favorites). The Cyber Security competition is strictly for early stage startups and is organized by Arrowmedia Israel Ltd. along with YL Ventures.

Cycode’s Source Code Security Platform Won!

Ultimately, Cycode was selected as one of three winners at the Cybertech Startup Innovation Challenge! We are so proud to have won and we are so proud of Cycode’s solution. Because we were one of the lucky three winners, were invited to present Cycode’s solution on Cybertech’s main stage. Our Co-Founder & CEO Lior Levy presented Cycode’s mission to help protect enterprises’ source code and received live feedback from a renowned panel of leading U.S.-based CISOs and cybersecurity experts: The panel was moderated by TechCrunch U.S. News Editor,Frederic Lardinois, with Roger Hale (CISO-in-Residence at YL Ventures), Yaron Levi (CISO at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City), Shannon Lietz (Director of Cyber Security/DevSecOps at Intuit), Michael Meli (CISO & Managing Director Senior Advisor at Julius Baer) and Richard Rushing (CISO at Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company)).
